ABOUT THE EVENT
GENERAL INFORMATION
Launched in 2015, the Downtown Defrost is a family-friendly winter celebration of dance music and culture. The event is currently produced by a non-profit organization: The Factory Music & Arts LTD in collaboration with local groups Night Vision Music & Flat 7 Productions, and was formerly produced by Night Vision and Wheelhouse Productions. This annual event typically sees an outdoor Edmonton space transformed into a fun dance party featuring lights, installations, and some of the city's favorite DJs alongside international talent.
For 2024, the Downtown Defrost will be taking place March 29-30th in downtown Edmonton.
Venue doors open at 2pm both days. There will be very limited door tickets.
The show will take place in snow, rain, or shine.
Line-up, set times, festival hours, and venue are subject to change.
Food and beverages will be available on-site.

The tent will have some heating, but we recommend still dressing for winter conditions.
Pay extra attention to your feet and hands! Those are the hardest to warm up. -
